Afam is a Filipino dating app for Filipinos everywhere — at home, in the province, and across the ocean. Our name is a word the diaspora reclaimed: no longer “outsider,” now “anyone Filipino enough to find their person.”
We started Afam because every existing app felt like a copy-paste from somewhere else. None of them knew what kilig meant. None of them knew that one good voice note beats a month of small talk. None of them let a Fil-Am in Los Angeles sort for someone visiting Siargao next month.
So we built one that does. And we built it with the full palette of who we are — Tagalog and Taglish, Cebuano and Hiligaynon, province and city, OFW and balikbayan, totoy and bunso.
Afam isn’t just “for Filipinos.” It’s made by Filipinos — from Manila to Mindanao to the Bay Area. The sampaguita in our logo is the national flower. Our golden-hour palette is every Filipino sunset. Our voice-first approach is the harana, in 2026.
